5K Displays are No Longer a Problem!

In this firmware release, we have completed a compatibility update that expands the EDID Memory Bank processing capability for 5K displays. By allowing the device to read larger display EDID capacities, 5K displays are now fully supported and function flawlessly.

With this enhanced 5K EDID reading capability, connecting a 5K display to an eARC Soundbar or audio system using HDfury products enables you to pass through Dolby Atmos via eARC—all without compromising your original resolution or refresh rate!

To optimize compatibility between 5K display devices and High Dynamic Range (HDR) video, we offer multiple EDID configuration modes. If you wish to enjoy the ultimate colors of Dolby Vision on your 5K screen, we highly recommend selecting the COPY TX SINK EDID and MODIFY (AUTOMIX) mode. This mode automatically blends the device information with your custom parameters, overcoming the hardware limitations of displays that do not natively support Dolby Vision, thereby maximizing your audio-visual performance while maintaining display stability.
