Frequently Asked Questions

CEC / ARC Related Issues
What should I do if I encounter any CEC / ARC issues?
Reboot your TV or power cycle it (unplug the power cord, wait a few seconds, and plug it back in). First, verify that your HDMI cables are HDMI 2.1 (48Gbps), then check your CEC and ARC settings.
When troubleshooting CEC / ARC issues, it is recommended to temporarily connect only the TV's ARC HDMI port to the VRROOM's TX0 port, bypassing other devices to avoid signal interference during testing.
  • Note 1: Verify that the TV's audio output format is set to Bitstream or Dolby Digital.
  • Note 2: Verify that your audio system features eARC or supports Multi-channel PCM.

Apple TV 4K Related Issues
How should I configure the Apple TV 4K if I want to output LLDV content to an HDR10 display?
Set the Apple TV 4K's video output to 4K SDR and enable "Match Dynamic Range".
This configuration allows the Apple TV to automatically output SDR, HDR, or Dolby Vision based on the actual content, while enabling the HDfury device to correctly convert the LLDV signal into HDR10 for display on your screen.
If you are enabling HDfury's LLDV EDID for the first time, Apple TV will prompt a "Test Dolby Vision" message. Please pass this test before playback. If you change the EDID in the future, the system will require you to run the test again.
What should I do if Netflix on Apple TV 4K only displays 5.1 audio instead of Atmos?
Play a video that natively supports Dolby Atmos once (such as original content on Netflix, Prime Video, or Disney+), and the normal Atmos audio capability will usually be restored.
I cannot use the Apple TV 4K remote to adjust the volume after installing the VRROOM. How do I fix this?
Re-sync the Apple TV 4K remote with your ARC or eARC audio system

LLDV Related Issues
What value should I set for Max Luminance (Max Lum) in LLDV?
It is recommended to set it to 1000 nits. Most HDR TVs deliver optimal tone mapping and color performance at this brightness level.
What should I do if the red tones and colors look oversaturated?
Set the LLDV output color space to BT.2020 instead of DCI-P3. This will resolve the color oversaturation issue.
What if my Fire Stick or Apple TV cannot natively output DCI-P3 color space?
Set the primary LLDV → HDR configuration to DCI-P3. The software will automatically apply tone mapping to output proper DCI-P3 colors.
How do I force the Oppo UDP-203/205 to output LLDV instead of standard Dolby Vision?
Go to HDR Settings > select Dolby VisionPlayer Led. This will force the player to output LLDV.
How can I verify that the Oppo UDP-203/205 is correctly outputting LLDV?
Press and hold the Info button on the remote > check Output Info. If it displays Dolby Vision + 12-bit, it indicates it is outputting correctly.

SONOS ARC Related Issues(SONOS ARC 相關問題)
How do I resolve audio dropouts or intermittent sound on my ARC / eARC audio system?
Power cycle the unit first (unplug the power cord, wait a few seconds, and plug it back in). Meanwhile, verify that the ARC / eARC audio output cable from the VRROOM is securely connected.
What could cause audio distortion or intermittent dropouts in the surround sound channels?
This is typically related to HDMI cable quality or length:
  1. Ensure that all HDMI cables along the path of Source → VRROOM → Display/Projector are functioning properly under full-speed bandwidth modes.
  1. Avoid using cables that are too short or non-compliant (e.g., 30 cm). We recommend using high-quality copper cables between 1.8 to 4 meters in length.
  1. It is highly recommended to use the original HDMI cable provided by SONOS, especially for the connection between VRROOM eARC → SONOS Arc.

Audio-Related Issues
How do I resolve audio echoes?
This may occur when both the TV's internal speakers and the audio system are outputting sound simultaneously. Please disable the internal speakers in your TV settings, or mute TX0 / TX1 in the VRROOM settings to retain only ARC / eARC audio.
Audio and video are out of sync after installing VRROOM?
If you experience an "audio leads video" (audio lag) situation, you can add a delay correction in your audio system. When using Apple TV, it is recommended to enable the "Wireless Audio Sync" feature to automatically calibrate the delay.
What should I do if the TV displays "Unsupported Audio Format"?
Some TVs cannot recognize the Atmos MAT format. You can mute TX0 / TX1 in VRROOM's web settings to prevent the Atmos audio signal from being sent to the TV.
My newly purchased SONOS Arc is not working with VRROOM?
For initial setup, you must first connect the SONOS Arc to a CEC-supported TV to complete the configuration via the Sonos App. Once setup is complete, you can reconnect it to the VRROOM's eARC OUT port for normal operation.
Brief black screen or resyncing during video playback?
This is normal behavior. Connecting multiple devices (AVR, switchers, processors, etc.) or switching between different frame rates (e.g., 60Hz to 24Hz) will trigger a brief signal resynchronization (handshake).
TV brightness flickering or fluctuating?
This is related to certain TVs misinterpreting the Atmos MAT signal. You can mute TX0 / TX1 in the VRROOM settings to prevent Atmos from being passed to the TV.
Signal dropouts or black screens when playing high-bandwidth content?
This is typically an HDMI cable issue. It is recommended to replace them with original HDfury cables or high-quality certified HDMI cables.
How do I use VRROOM to limit the TV's DD+ audio output to standard DD and output it to an eARC AVR?
If you wish to force a downmix output to standard Dolby Digital without changing the system settings of your TV and AVR, you can achieve this via VRROOM using one of the following two methods:
  1. (Recommended) Transmit eARC as ARC: Go to the CEC/EARC settings page > under MAIN ZONE: > eARC/ARC: select Manual ARC.
  1. Remove DD+ in AUTOMIX EDID: Go to the EDID settings page > select COPY TX SINK EDID and MODIFY (AUTOMIX), check DD+, and select REMOVE from the drop-down menu.

Other Frequently Asked Questions(其他常見問題)
What should I do if my EDID selections keep jumping or changing automatically?
If you experience shifting EDID selections, it is likely caused by CEC interference. Example: If you select CUSTOM 5, but the setting automatically switches to another EDID, please go to the CEC / eARC settings page and uncheck the CEC options at the bottom.
When connecting a Chunghwa Telecom MOD set-top box to the VRROOM, everything works fine, but the screen goes black as soon as a video starts playing. How do I fix this?
Please change the MOD's HDR setting to "Auto".
Path: Go to Settings > System Settings > Display Settings (some models may list this under "Audio/Video Settings") > switch HDR to Auto.
